On behalf of the West Bergholt Cricket Club Committee, I am pleased to
invite you to attend the forthcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM) and end of
season dinner & awards evening on Saturday 20th October from
6:30pm at the Queen’s Head Pub, West Bergholt.
AGM
The AGM is an important constitutional meeting for members to hear
about the progress of the Club, recent and on-going developments & the many
achievements made over the last 12 months. On the night we will also be seeking
nominations for next year’s team captains and all committee positions. In
particular you may be aware that after many years of devoted service Pete
Twydell has decided to stand down as Chairman to be able to concentrate more on
the club’s growing junior section and so we will be seeking the election of a
new Chairman. If you have any suggestions for the development of the club that
you would like to be added to the agenda for the AGM, or if you wish to stand
in any club position next year, please email me at ehance@hotmail.co.uk
before Sunday 7th October. An agenda for the AGM will be shared shortly after.
Dinner/Awards
Following the AGM there will be an end of season dinner to celebrate the
successes of the 2018 season. The Queen's Head have confirmed a set menu for
the evening being two courses for £13 or three courses for £16. If you would
like to attend please could you email me (ehance@hotmail.co.uk) your
menu choices ahead of Wednesday 17th October so I can update the
Queen’s Head on numbers etc. The cost of the meal will be payable on the night.
Partners and family are very welcome to join too - the more the merrier!
