Dear All.
With the season starting in 3 weeks time (Weather Permitting) the club has undertaken a large amount of work in the Winter that hopefully will bring a benefit to all.
A new Electronic Scoreboard has been installed and will be ready for use in the first league games from the 19th April, a significant amount of hard work and labour has gone into putting this together, with thanks to Andrew Clark and family for their kind donations, Glen Bolton and the Longman Family for putting many hours of hard work into getting into a position where it is now fully in position and useable!.
On top of this the club has also invested in a total renovation of the Kitchen area with brand new worktops, cupboards and also a cooker for anyone who wants something better than a Co-Op meal deal before or after a game!.
The club is planning on making further investments into the facilities in 2025 including potential installation or redevelopment of the outdoor Nets. We hope to have further new on this later in the Summer.
On Cricketing matters, pre season friendlies start on Saturday April 12th with the Saturday 1st XI away at Mistley and the Saturday 2nd XI away at Acton. The captains for the respective teams will be coming out for availabilities for that weekend and the season shortly.
Outdoor practice begins on Tuesday April 8th (Weather Permitting) at 6pm, please make every effort to attend these sessions where we will attempt to be more structured in what we do rather than just using the nets for 2 hours!.
For All Stars/Juniors Cricket, the team leads and coaches will contact you separately with times and dates of training and when these sessions start.
A further update will posted later in the week regarding Annual Subs and payment method for these.
