Club Members, Mark ‘hop along’ Johnson and Carl Temme are running the London Marathon on Sunday 23rd April.
Mark and Carl are running in support of the charity MACS which supports Children who are born without eyes or underdeveloped eyes.
There are currently 3000 children suffering from this rare condition which often has additional health complications alongside this.
MACS provides peer support, practical help to families and gives the effected children opportunities and experiences that are normally not possible if it were not for the donations and work that MACS provides.
Mark and Carl both acknowledge that at first this appeared on the face of it like a ‘mid-life’ crisis, however seeing and observing their dedication to train and to the Charity should inspire anyone thinking about doing something similar in future years.
